Thank you for choosing a Le Forge product...

Each steel piece of Le Forge furniture and home wares isindividually made by our own craftspeople meticulously by hand and thenindividually finished to achieve the distinctive Le Forge look. Our unique designs and finishes are part of the Le Forge appeal requiring care to keep andprotect their appearance.

Finishes As technology improves, we also develop and update our finishes to ensure you have the very best coating on your furniture. Our latest update was in 2020. We supply Galvanised or a Powder Coated finish. Our Powder Coated finish is our own Le Forge colour. Please follow the instructions that were given when you purchased your product for both finishes. Le Forge is not responsible for the condition of furniture that has had inappropriate use. The manufactures warranty for Le Forge steel furniture is three years against rust and general wear and tear from the date of delivery. The manufacturers warranty excludes areas that touch and come in contact with the ground or flooring underneath (ie: The bottom of Chair Legs and underneath tables where they touch the surface below). All coated surfaces are prone to scratching which removes the protective coating and must always have our rubber caps on chair feet (these can be purchased from Le Forge) and tables need plastic underneath to avoid rusting, Rust will mark and damage the surfaces underneath it’s your responsibility to protect furniture as stated.

Tin furniture and untreated products are not to be left outdoors and should be kept dry and used indoors only.

Each of our products are handmade, sizes and finishes may vary slightly. Once furniture has been purchased the client is responsible for protection to flooring, rugs etc. The rubber feet supplied by Le Forge for all steel chairs must be attached at all times to protect the coated finish on the bottom of the legs. If the powder coated finish has worn off the application of “Soft Flat Iron” Rustoleum Mettalic Spray Paint must be applied straight away following the manufacturers directions.Depending on usage, products with paint finishes applied to them (powder coated, faux rust, custom colours etc) may have paint chipping occur - we recommend the touch up information provided when you purchased your product.

Marble/Glass Table Tops Le Forge table bases are available with or without table tops. We supply 20mm 2nd level marble which may have imperfections but our competitive buying price is passed on to our clients.We supply 12mm clear float glass, with a polished edge. We can obtain a quote for other special marble and glass requirements, if needed. We supply hand made cement table tops which are not intended to be perfect due to the manufacturing process and may have imperfections.

All Special Requests & Custom orders (adjustments, custom, bespoke work and painted finishes) We are happy to manufacture specific pieces and change colours of items but it is your responsibility to check all order details before placing a deposit. Once your deposit has been paid you agree and accept the goods.

Antiques/Originals/Timber Our antiques, vintage and original pieces are sold in “as is”, “one off” condition. As with all furniture, antique, vintage and timber items require appropriate care - further information may need to be checked with a relevant specialist or restoration company. Le Forge takes no further responsibility after purchase.

Chair Cushions and Upholstery Each cushion is hand made in Sydney by our upholsterer. Our stock fabric is Sunbrella suitable for outdoors but prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause fading. They are to be cleaned by removing the inner foam and washing the fabric by hand with a light liquid soap, do not use bleach or harsh detergent. Hang in the shade, do not wring dry. Do not use a hot iron on the fabric. Never use harsh brushing and be careful to avoid sharp objects to prevent tearing the fabric. There is no warranty for fabric supplied by the client or designer.

Pricing/Payments Prices may change without notification. We require full payment for goods and freight prior to dispatch from Le Forge.

All Orders Confirmation of your order by deposit is final we do not refund for change of mind. In instances where we are waiting for items to arrive dates are given in good faith, although we cannot be responsible for unforeseen delays in manufacture or shipping. All ordered items that are in stock must be fully paid for and collected or delivered within 6 weeks, unless otherwise arranged. If goods are not paid in full within the above mentioned time frame, the item(s) will be returned to stock for sale and the deposit will be made available to the purchaser to use against a future purchase within a given timeframe. We do not refund where goods have been taken or delivered for change of mind. Store credits on cancellations are non transferable and valid for 30 days only. No exceptions. Cancellation where manufacturing or custom orders have started may include a cancellation charge up to the entire purchase price.

Trade Orders It is the designer/retailer’s responsibility to advise the appropriate finish and general care information for their client’s requirements and to convey to them all relevant information needed and stock maintenance from this warranty sheet. Le Forge will not be responsible for inappropriate care or lack of maintenance.

Email & Internet Orders & Phone Orders (for goods ordered unseen) All internet orders are to be paid by direct bank deposit. Your written purchase request is confirmation of your order and we do not exchange or refund for change of mind. Please see freight information on this sheet for receiving of goods.

Collections / Delivery / Freight When collecting, the purchaser is responsible for checking condition of goods prior to leaving Le Forge premises - care and responsibility from then is with the purchaser once removed from the premises, including couriers and transport arranged by the purchaser. We offer a competitive delivery service - charged as a one man rate, a double fee is charged if a second delivery person is required. We do not and are not responsible for moving goods that are not Le Forge products. If a delay eventuates due to customers not being able to take delivery on the scheduled dispatch date, goods will be returned to Le Forge with a return delivery fee charged to the warehouse and a second delivery fee will be required to make the delivery. Please discuss covering items being freighted with your insurance company We are not responsible for any damages incurred by any freight companies used and any claims MUST go directly to them. The client is responsible for all freight/handling charges and insurance for goods being sent. Goods must be checked for condition at the time of delivery and the freight company must be advised of any damages at the time of delivery as no further claim can be made after this. Any additional costs incurred in freight and handling are to be paid by the client.
